Ch. True Confidence, the second Bev scion (Ch. Erin’s Special Force competed in 2012) to qualify and compete at the National Championship on the Ames Plantation in Grand Junction, TN made his first challenge in 2016 getting the attention of judges and gallery alike. This past winter, he more than proved himself capable of winning. Here is the official write-up of his bid by reporter William Smith.

“Confidence roamed ahead always to the front through the Tyler Test Field, the Agronomy Unit, the Jack Harris Fields and up over Cox’s Ridge. He was not visible at all times but he always showed to the front when he was seen…

This has been a really fast-paced brace, probably the fastest to this point in the trial. He (Confidence) was in the supermarket field standing in the food plot on the south side of the field at 2:28 (3rd find). Eisenhart flushed his birds for him and shot over the staunch dog. Confidence went through the Tennessee Field, the Big Oak Field, and the Avent corn field at a fast clip. He made some really nice moves while staying in touch with Eisenhart…

He used all of the morning breakaway field to finish his effort to take home the trophy. He was still fast and forward as he took the east edge of the Out Front Field. He came out of the corner and turned toward the field stables still holding the edge. He was still running when the judges called time. Confidence started strong and he finished strong.

Bob’s third and final find in the third hour with Luke Eisenhart flushing.

A happy Luke Eisenhart at the end of True Confidence’s three hours. Bob ran a highly complimented and memorable race. He started strong and finished strong, with three well-spaced finds.
